"Anguish"
A little out of focus, but I'll blog another pic with the next stage.
I will be blogging the progression of "Anguish". It depicts the deafening sorrow that Mary endured watching her Son be brutally beaten/tortured/crucified. This is stage 1 of the drawing.
I will be joining a group of incredibly talented artist on Thursday, May 2nd at the Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art during Laguna Beach's monthly art walk night. This event will be held on the patio of the LGOCA gallery, one of the most prestigious locations in Laguna Beach with a panoramic view of Main Beach. Wine, cheese, and appetizers will be available to all guests.
May 2nd (Thursday), 6-9
This piece evokes the surreal emotion as Jesus is in prayer in the Garden of Gethsename the night before the crucifixion. Stucco was used to create the stone affect surrounding His face.
