Busy week being mom so just a quick sketch today
Stuck her in front of my treadmill to figure out the next step. I’m tempted to leave her as is. I love the rawness and subtle muscle. It’s extremely tricky To know WHEN to stop as an artist. I’ve ruined pieces before. My best advice to my daughters and budding artists is put it somewhere you can contemplate and think about it. Natural light is best. Sometimes it can be months before it hits you. Working all angles
Very quick sketch on # 2. I ran out of black so my mom is running to get me some😘. Probably can’t see it (but I can) it’s a ballerina laying down legs stretched out, from neck down.
1st on Figurative Series
cleaned up get legs point shoes and background. Added in flective lines the. Some sheer paint for dimension. I always line up my painting with the grooves of the wood floor when doing lines. It’s so easy to go crooked on accident. I used my smudger for the lines and highlights on her legs with quick flicks of my wrist.
