12x 30 (I think, I can’t find my measuring tape). Green and red hues can be inconsistent in photos so I posted two separate lighting locations. A tad figurative sketching this morning and trying to lay off the news. 💔 This is from an old sketchbook that I clearly didn’t know what I was doing. You k ow what - that’s how you learn! Keep the old ones, you know the ones you are too embarrassed to show, and work on them later.

I took this one, which was choppy, and had too blunt of line work and re worked it. A new artist asked me the other day what they can do to self teach. Study other artists! Not just the well known ones either. There are a fair share of unknown BRILLIANT a artists who haven’t breached the art market. The best place to find them is Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter. Sketch work today. I have stripped down the complexities of life lately and have been working on mediating and listening to beautiful music in hope to gain insight into human emotion. Seeing Red

Finished up a 30x24 acrylic pour. Vivid red & magenta with the splash of white for contrast. I used my blow dryer on cold to create some ripples in the paint for added texture. Book 2 is coming along. This morning was research on top of research. I love Pinterest but don’t like how I fall down its rabbit hole so easily. Dragons

Dragon work today! I have loved dragons since I was little. I’m talking little, like 4. I think it started with books, and the dragon fire was lit with Pete’s Dragon, Dragon Slayer (which angered me..who would dare slay dragons? Maybe the villagers shouldn’t have squatted in their territory), and then I found Spirited Away 🐉! My favorite forever. The Hobbit had a great dragon, although again he was a bad guy. Don’t forget Game of Thrones.
