When you're not sure what color to go with start with black & white. Hints and splashes of color can lend an edgy yet classic touch.

It's not to late in the game, right? I just had yet another birthday, and part of a bucket list of getting over fears, I am learning to surf. I suck so far, but every time I'm getting better. My oldest daughter was shredding it, along side her dad. As anyone who has followed my art career, you've seen my surfboard/snowboard art. If you're interested in me creating a one of a kind art piece on your board (yes, it's fine to ride after resin coat-which I provide) hit me up and I'll give you a quote. My lovely husband surprised me with the Becker long board below, so I'm off to try it out.

Four of my works, among many incredibly talented artists are on exhibit at Gallery Expo across from EJ Malloys (great Pub!). If you happen to pop by I will be there for as long as my little Blonde Army can go (my four daughters+husband). Please say "hi".

I was never satisfied with this painting. I decided to highlight the texture of the entire tree. The tree's texture was created using pallet knife and a mixture of acrylic stucco medium, acrylic glaze, and acrylic paint. I still have more detailing. My good camera took a dive so this was taken with my iPhone. Needless to say it's a little out of focus. Anyone know of any good camera deals?
Before resin coat. That will bring out the colors a bit more. Japanese inspired piece. The Miyazaki films are a great influence in my illustrations. I've also been studying Japanese modern art, tattoo, and film.

Since I was a little girl, I have been enthralled by the Japanese culture. Old and new it holds a place in my heart. This third piece in my series takes a edgy surrealistic/animated edge to pay homage to the great country of Japan. My girls and I have been die hard fans of the Miyazake fims, as well as more classic pieces. I've been studying them with my girls, as well as Japanese art of tattoo. I have a feeling this series could extend on for quite a few pieces. It brings me joy. I would love to visit Japan with my husband and girls in tow.
Work in progress. Elements I adore in Japanese culture, with my twist of course
